"Learn the magic of nonattachment." This is an admonition I shall always remember from Dr. Richard Carlson. I have been reading his book "Don't Worry, Make Money" every now and then. I have realized that truly there are some things we could not change. 2008 year for me was filled with so much struggle since I decided to leave my over 12-year stint at a university to pursue my lifelong passion- the arts and focus on pure marketing-communication job. I took a great risk leaving the convenience of an office with a secretary and 11 staff. It was rough sailing working as freelance marcom and multimedia projects consultancy. A lot of things didn't turn out the way I expected them to be. There are important lessons, of course and I know I shall do better next time for "rather than being lost or immobilized in disappointments or regret" I will simply "move on- with confidence and joy."
